Help woth printing tattoo stencils?

Q: Hi, I just brought a Multi Font Star Printer model XB24-250 Dot Matrix printer, and was wondering if t his will work to print out the tattoo stencils if i use the SPIRIT MASTER TATTOO CARBON STENCIL PAPER? Thanks Nope no studio.. and no im not the one who tattoo's. My brother is a Professional Tattoo Artist, who is opening his own place. Me and his girlfriend wanted to get it for him to make it a bit easier for him. We didnt bother asking him as he would have told us not to worry bout helping him out.

A: Are you a scratcher? If so, then no cause you shouldn't be doing it. If you're a pro, then you would already know that dot matrix printer's are useful and shouldn't have to ask this question.

Considering getting a tattoo for the 1st time - Advice/Assistance Needed!?

Q: I have been looking for a tattoo for the last 5years!! Finally I've seen a design on tattoojohnny.com of a lovely shooting star... my back is the place where im thinking of getting it done!! QUESTIONS!!!! On the site, they say that i should pay for the outline/stencil, which is about £6, so that the tattoo artist i use gets the best image of the tattoo i want.... do you think this is necessary??!! (its a black tattoo) When going to the shop, which questions should i ask, or what should i look out for?! Ive been looking for years, and seen a really clean new but well established shop. A: I myself have 5 tattoos and i can say that they do hurt to get put on you, so if you can't stand the site of blood, or if you can't stand the pain i would say don't do it. This is something that is going to stay on you for the rest of your life, so make sure it's what you really want. I would also never get one anywhere where anyone could see them. I work with the public so i don't have them on my hands or arms, only my back and my upper arms. But make sure he is licensed and ask to see some of his work, most artist have books of there work you can look at. good luck.

Can I use henna ink for a stencil tattoo?

Q: I want to start stencil tattooing my wrists with nautical stars, and I found the perfect stencil... but the only thing I can think to do it with is henna ink. Instead of doing traditional henna swirls and stuff, can I just use a brish and paint it on over the stencil? Thanks!

A: You can do whatever you want with henna as long as you put it on properly and leave it on long enough. You should be fine as long as it's thick enough on your skin.

estimate of how much this hip tattoo would cost?

Can I tattoo blue ink over a small black outline?

Q: Hello. I got a simple star recently tattooed on my back, it's just normal blue with a thin black outline. I was wondering if I could get it made bigger, by placing a bigger star stencil over the current tattoo and tattooing blue over the original black outline out to the new black outline. Is this something a good tattoo artist can do for me, or would the original black outline always show through? If this isn't possible, could I get the original black outset lazered off, and then have the bigger stencil put over the old tattoo? Or would the skin just not be able to take it? It's my only tattoo so I have no idea if what I'm talking about is possible. Any help appreciated!

A: You can definitely tattoo over it. Depending on the shade of blue and how thin the outline is will depend on how it shows through. If it's still visible, you can use it to create some shading in the star. If your blue isn't a dark blue and the black line shows through, you can use it to do a blend from black to dark blue to the blue you want. You could also use it as a the foundation of a 3-D star.
